Hey, I’m on the Sewing and Stitchery Expo blog again! I’m so honored to have been asked to write another post and especially thrilled that the post is about my favorite fabrics – Knits!!
A few things I didn’t say in the post:
- Knits are SUPER easy to sew with. There are a few tricks, but they really don’t have to be scary.
- Knits are THE most comfortable thing to wear in the whole world. Seriously! I mentioned comfort, but I just wanted to say here that knit garments are the superstars of my Handmade Wardrobe. Always the first thing I grab to wear.
- EVERYONE can wear knits! Whether you’re curvy or slim, they’re going to look GREAT. My Washington State Apple shape loves knits – so, yes, everyone!
- Knit fabrics are very forgiving. They will easily mold themselves out of most sewing errors (AKA new designs). So, again – NO FEAR!

From my Social Media adventures, I now have friends from all over the world, tons of sewing resources and info at my fingertips, loads of people ready to help when I need tips or support and inspiration that is incredible.
Bring your smart phone or tablet to class and we’ll spend 90 minutes expanding your sewing world together. Honestly, my sewing life is so much richer because of Social Media. I am very grateful for all the opportunities and wonderful people out there!!
