My favorite event of the year is coming up!! The 2020 Puyallup WA Sewing & Stitchery Expo is February 27th – March 1st and I’m teaching classes again. LOTS of classes! And, a stage presentation – oh, my! Online registration opens tomorrow morning, Wednesday, January 8th at 8:30 am PT, so. . . . . let’s talk classes. Because, I’d LOVE to have you in one (or more!) of my classes.

If you haven’t been before, the Sewing & Stitchery Expo is the BIGGEST sewing show in the USA and it’s the 36th year! There are tons of fabulous vendors, loads of excellent classes and thousands of friendly, enthusiastic sewists and quilters. Think Sewing Heaven and this is it!! Download the class brochure and you’ll see what I mean!
Here’s What I’m Teaching!
2022 Modern Kantha Stitching – Thursday or Saturday
UPDATE: My Saturday Modern Kantha Stitching class is sold out. Thank you so much!!! There’s still room in the Thursday class, but it’s 50% full so hurry!
Yes, this is the same hands-on class I taught last year! It sold out twice, so I was asked to offer it again and it’s on the schedule with full capacity (30 each) twice this year. I know a lot of you couldn’t make it in last year, so this is your chance! I’m having SO much fun with this technique and will have new samples to show you this year!!
2021 Easy, Common Sense Fitting – Thursday or Friday
UPDATE: The Thursday class has quite a bit of room, but the Friday class is 50% full – hurry!!
Yes, this is the same class I taught last year – do you see a pattern here?! It sold out, so again I was asked to teach it for 2020. There’s an awesome handout and I’ll have a bit of new info. So, here’s the thing – this is not your typical fitting class. This is a class to help you think about fitting without spending a lot of time on it. Because, I’m all about sewing . . . as much as possible. And, I want to eliminate frustration in your sewful life!
So, if there were just a few things you could do about fitting without getting all mathy and technical, that would be great, right?! This is it. It’s the way I’ve fit my projects for years and it makes me SO much happier with my garments.
If you’re looking for more precise fitting, there are AMAZING experts teaching and writing books. Many of them at the Sewing Expo! Those fitting experts know more than I could ever imagine and they have SO much to offer. But, maybe my class will be a starting point for you. Or, maybe you just want it to be simple and easily make sense. If that’s the case, then I’m your girl!!
2023 Social Media: Your New Best Sewing Friend – Friday Only
I taught this class a couple of years ago and it sold out, too! Since then I’ve added and updated information so I can tell you what’s happening out in internet land right now. If you’re not sure where to go or what to do in the online sewing/quilting world, please join me! I’ll make it easy and send you home with an extensive list of all the best spots home with you. There’s a whole universe of sewing community out there and stacks of new friends waiting for you. Come find out what will work for you!
